The Art Car Project was conceived by Studio Place Arts in Barre Vermont, and Community High School of Vermont.   The aim of the project was to expose at risk youth to hands on atypical art.  The vehicle was graciously donated by Good News Garage, a local company dedicated to providing vehicles for low-income folks.

It was important during this project that I just advise, lend a set of hands, and be the gatherer of materials.  The car was conceived, and executed by the students in just six short weeks.  The project culminated with the Barre Home Coming Parade, a traveling exhibit, and raffle.  The proceeds from the sale of tickets went to helping create more community based art projects.

It was incredibly rewarding to get to know the students and watch their transformation during the project.
